London; MTV Films Europe (MTVFE) are pleased to announce they have boarded John Barker's film "Bunny Chow", which has been officially selected to participated in this years Toronto International Film Festival, running from September 7th to 16th.

Joel Assaizky has written film score and provided several songs along with the JMYC Studio crew for John Barkers new film Bunny Chow, which has been selected for this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.
The soundtrack also includes songs from other well known South African artists. The film also features 3 tracks from the Junior Musicians Yacht Club (the JMYC Studio band) that have attracted much attention internationally as well as underground cult status in the South African music scene.

Joel's vast musical knowledge and inventiveness made a massive contribution to the success of Mzansi, on top of which he is a good man to have at your side in a darkened final mix suite. What can be a rather lonely and draining place for a producer became a space of invigoration.

Joel Assaizky has been composing music for television, commercials and film since 2002. In this short space of time he has become well known for his unique approach and innovate sound design.
His partnership with Farryl Roth and Erik Pilani as the Junior Musicians Yacht Club has yielded some of the most exciting soundrack work in South African film and television.
